Beaujolais Nouveau started in 1935, the wines would be rushed to Paris as the first wines of the vintage. Shockingly enough, it became so famous that by the 1970’s it was a national event known as “Beaujolais Nouveau Day”.
Beaujolais has close to 4,000 growers and Beaujolais Nouveau makes up almost 50% of the region’s wine production. Its flavor profile changes from vintage to vintage and in some opinions it is the first look at the character and quality of the other wines that will be in that vintage.
Join us for the sampling party November 17th & 18th from 4-7pm @ Vine & Table to try this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau!
