Penderyn Welsh whisky tasting

Of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom, Wales is the smallest and perhaps most overlooked. But don’t let that fool you into thinking it doesn’t participate in the fine art of whisky-making. Indeed, whisky distillation traces its roots in Wales to the middle ages, and while production dried up in the late 19th century, in 2004 Penderyn opened the first Welsh whisky distillery in over a century. The folks at Penderyn have spent the last 15 years honing their craft under the direction of their all-women distilling and blending team. With a wide ranging portfolio of cask finishes, plus peated and unpeated options, Penderyn is a great distillery that appeals to connoisseurs and newcomers alike.

On Thursday, April 18, anytime from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to meet David Cover, Penderyn’s Global Brand Ambassador, at our tasting bar. David will be pouring an array of Penderyn’s creations, which have won over 20 gold medals at major whisky competitions across the globe. This tasting is one of those wonderful opportunities to talk to a brand expert, compare finishes side by side, and take a deep dive into something a little off the beaten path. We hope you can join us!

There is no cost to attend but we ask that you register here.
