Flowers Winery

Joan and Walt Flowers established Flowers winery over 30 years ago and persevered over the years dispite the rugged Sonoma coastline with its adverse weather and dense fog and steep slopes. Today the fruit of their labor and vision is Flowers Winery, with a wealth of experience cultivating great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their approach is simple: minimal intervention, a mix of biodynamic and organic farming and let mother nature take its course. With the guidance of Chantal Forthun, Head Winemaker, they have been successful in crafting and producing some of the finest elegant wines from Sonoma. Their central ethos is “Crafted Without Compromise. Wines with a sense of place. People with a sense of purpose.

2016 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
The nose is an enticing hand written invitation to explore this wine further. One sip and you’ll discover what an amazing mouthfeel this wine has- loads of lemon, juicy red apple and honeydew melon dominating with tightly wound notes of nectarine, pear, ginger and spices on the finish. This wine has so much going on. I suggest drinking your first glass around 55F to fully appreciate the depth and complexity hidden in the glass. A really nice creamy texture without all the oaky buttery notes. Retail: $55.99

2016 Sonoma Pinot Noir
After tasting the 2016 vintage it’s easy to see why the Flowers settled in Sonoma all those years ago. This really is a fine example of what their vision must have been. Cherries dominate the nose complemented by red berries and herbs. The palate is immediately impressive with seductive cherries, ripe red fruits with Italian herbs and wild mushrooms on a long enticing finish. Really impressive wine. Retail: $49.99
